Dr. Michael Eltervoog
I was born and raised in Merlin, Ontario, just outside of Chatham, Ontario. In 1999, I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I then received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2003 from the National University of Health Sciences (formerly National College of Chiropractic) in Lombard, Illinois.
Early in my career, I was the on-campus chiropractor at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario as well as the on-campus chiropractor at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario. From 2012 to 2025, I was the owner of South London Chiropractic in London, Ontario. I continue to work part-time in London at London Chiropractic and Massage in Wortley Village. I started Eltervoog Chiropractic, a home-based chiropractic office, in 2023.
I am an evidence-based chiropractor with a passion for patient education. I mainly utilizes Diversified technique, which is the traditional, hands on, chiropractic adjusting technique utilizing a high velocity, low amplitude thrust. As this force is applied to the joint, it will generally result in a “popping” sound called a cavitation, which is simply a release of gases from the fluid within the joint. I also incorporate various modalities into my treatments including electric muscle stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, kinesiotaping and custom foot orthotics.
