Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound therapy uses high-frequency sound waves to treat musculoskeletal injuries and pain. During an ultrasound therapy session, the chiropractor uses a small handheld device over the surface of the affected area. The device emits sound waves that penetrate the tissues deep within the body, causing microscopic vibrations that help reduce inflammation, increase blood flow and promote healing. Ultrasound therapy is commonly used to treat conditions such as tendonitis, bursitis, sprains/strains and works especially well to treat deep tissue injuries.
